Historical financial market data

Long-term time series can be useful for charts and checking historical trends. Listed below are twenty data files containing the following financial market indicators:

ASX All Ordinaries Index
Australian 90 day bank bill rate
Australian 10 year Treasury bond yield
Australian dollar (A$/US$)
Gold price (US$/oz)
Dow Jones Industrial Average
NYSE trading volume
NASDAQ Composite Index
US 3 month Treasury bill rate
US 10 year Treasury bond yield
Nikkei 225 Index
FTSE 100 Index

The figures are presented in comma separated value (.csv) format which can be read by most software applications and operating systems.

Some browsers will read the download files as HTML text. If this is the case, you can download them by choosing File > Save As on the browser toolbar.
 
Save the file with either a .csv or .txt file extension to import directly into Microsoft Excel.
